Dog Goes Missing in Care of Pet Sitter

Vancouver, BC: A report by CTC News Vancouver states that two-year-old shepherd mix, Sami, owner by the Brennan family, went missing after being dropped off at a pet sitter’s home. The sitter had been found online via Rover.com, a Seattle-based company that connects dog owners with local pet-sitters who advertise through its website. Later the same day Sami was dropped off, his owners “received a message from the dog-sitter telling them that their pet was missing.” The sitter said, ‘I’m sorry, your dog is gone. I will no longer be responding to any more communication with you,’ owner Michael Brennan said. In a statement to CTV News Vancouver, Rover.com said that “safety of those in our community is a top priority, and we are no longer allowing this sitter to offer services through our platform.”
