Dog Trainer Charged with Animal Cruelty in Death of Golden Retriever

Las Vegas, NV: KTNV reports that dog trainer Ricky Allen Davis has been indicted for felony animal cruelty in the death of a Golden Retriever named Woody. Woody was boarding at Davis’s facility while his owners but died on August 6, 2018 after being driven around for hours in the trainer’s van with four other dogs. When the trainer took Woody to the vet, he was already dead and in rigor mortis with a body temperature of more than 107 degrees. His owners were were unaware that the trainer didn’t have an animal handler’s permit and wasn’t even licensed to do business.”
