Owners Say Dog Sitter Damaged Their Home, Stole Belongings

Rochester, NY: 13Wham.com reports that a couple returned from a European vacation to find their car in a different spot to where they had left it and with the windshield smashed, as well as damage inside their home, garbage all over the kitchen, and “thousands of dollars worth of belongings, including wedding bands, appliances, and more” taken. According to the report, the couple hired a pet sitter after owner Katherine Cooper’s mother, “who typically watches over their house and six pets,” broke her pelvis two days after the couple had left for vacation.” Cooper says the dogs have been “acting scared and nervous” since their owners returned. A police report has been filed.
